Our club was founded in 1985 by Don Porter, who was our head coach for 20 years. Since foundation we have become one of the leading teams in the region, competing against many other teams from all over the county and beyond. We train at the Wombourne Leisure Centre, where we have a 25metre pool. We work hard to ensure we are fast, fit and competitive, and also making sure that our swimmers of all ages are enjoying their swimming and reaching their potential. The club, and our swimmers, are affiliated to the ASA, which means we can enter open galas across the country and progress to county and national championships

The club offers a swim school on a Monday evening for children from the age of 7yrs where they are taught all the basics of competitive swimming such as stroke technique, diving and competitive turns. There are also additional sessions at Smestow School for our Pre-squad members on Wednesday evenings 7.45-8.45pm, and Thursdays’s 7.15-8.15pm.

Operated to the national teaching plan at swim school level, then from Juniors through to Masters, children then progress to the Junior squad which trains on a Tuesday evening from 7pm till 8.15pm, Thursday 7.15 till 8.15pm & on a Friday 6.30 till 8pm. Generally children stay in the junior squad until they are 12 years old, at which point, they are too old to compete at Diddy League level,

From the Junior squad, swimmers progress to the ‘Senior Squad’ which train on a Monday 7.30 till 8.30, Tuesday’s 8.15 till 9.30 and Friday 8pm till 9.30
