Head Coach- Timothy Hastie

I would like to welcome you to meet my brilliant team. I am excited about the development of the club and to be working with everyone especially the swimmers.

After three years as assistant coach at Ellesmere College Titans, I have had the pleasure to work with such an outstanding team, achieving I lot in its short history since the club was created. When I began at the Titans I worked a lot with the lower end of the club, members who didn’t have county times. After some adapting and changes to the planning and delivery, all members after a year qualified for many events at counties and begin to qualify not only for regionals but also for home nations.

I wish to pass this experience on to the club, not by changing everything but by adapting and building on top of what is already in place and inputted by Dave Pagie.

My history in coaching career spans for several years; beginning as a volunteer coach in Wyre Forest Swimming Club, Full Time Swimming Coach with Ellesmere College Titans and now Head Coach for Wombourne Swimming Club.

My passion in swimming started when I was a teenager helping out local learn to swim schemes. The hunger to do more drove me to learn what I could within different swimming disciplines like, disability swimming, synchronised swimming and then competition swimming.

I was taken under the wing of swim coach Alan Bircher, who help me develop my coaching experience under his guidance and philosophies for several years.
